Gareth (my professor in Belgium) emailed me my syllabus for the two courses I'm taking with him. While it's a rough syllabus and probably subject to LOTS of changes as politics continue changing over there--the EU is electing new members the week before we arrive--it's looking like a pretty sweet deal on my end.
My homework involves staying up to date on current events, which shouldn't be hard to do in such a journalistic/political city.
My first day is indeed the same day I arrive. Awesome. Sleep deprivation AND a three-hour class with people I don't know in a country I've never visited? Should be fun!
My house is right in the prime restaurant/bar area of the city. While this is super promising for nightlife entertainment, I can also see it getting fairly obnoxious if I'm trying to sleep at night and people are loud from their evening festivities. Ah well, I can deal.
Best part? No exams and a trip to London on June 22!
I can say that, while it still hasn't sunk in that I'm moving international in a week's time, I know deep down I'm really excited!
